We believe in creating a better place to live for our children. Finally, we believe in supporting dignified work, and see every product produced as a tribute to the women who made it.
This project in collaboration with Creamos NGO, supports over 150 active participants, hailing from communities surrounding the Guatemala City open air garbage dump. The organization fosters self-esteem, wellness, leadership, and financial independence for the women who have historically relied on collecting, recycling, reusing, and reselling items scavenged in the garbage dump to make a living.
Fibra Design, in collaboration with Creamos NGO, offers an alternative for the women. The women who participate in the program are offered dignified employment, emotional support services, and ongoing education.
